Rash Of Burr Ridge Car Break-Ins Reported
A particular type of vehicle was targeted last week, authorities said.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Fifteen cars were burglarized overnight Thursday in Burr Ridge, with most of the incidents in hotel parking lots, police said.
The stolen items included a handgun, wallets, small amounts of change, tools and sunglasses, Deputy Police Chief David Allen said in an email to Patch.
A car that was stolen in Willowbrook was used to commit the burglaries, he said. It was later recovered elsewhere.

In each break-in, a window was broken to gain entry, with pickup trucks, mostly with out-of-state license plates, targeted, he said.
No one has been arrested.
