Resident Arrested for Stealing Alcohol
The following information was provided by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Theft
*At about 6:58 p.m. on April 5, Matthew J. Heinzel, 45, of 7994 St. Garfield Avenue in Burr Ridge was arrested and charged with retail theft, a Class 3 felony, after an investigation indicted him in the theft of $329.73 in alcohol from the Garden Market Dominick's grocery in Western Springs on Mar. 10. The beverages were recovered by store staff on the day of the alleged theft.
At about 9:11 a.m. on April 4, Burr Ridge Police received a report of a theft of more than $500. Someone had taken apart the soccer goals at the Pleasantdale Park District and thrown them into a creek. All parts were recovered.

At about 4:43 p.m. on April 6, Burr Ridge Police received a report of a theft less than $500. A neighbor observed a stranger taking a package off a neighbor's front porch on the 7800 Block of Circle Drive.

At about 12:10 p.m. on April 5, Joel Preciado, 39, of 17804 Sorrel in Lockport. was pulled over for improper lane use. officers determined at that time that his blood alcohol content was over .08. He was charged with improper lane use and driving under the influence of alcohol.
