Sheriff Investigates Home Invasion in Willowbrook

The suspect broke into a home, subdued the owner and fled with valuables.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a home invasion that occurred early this morning in unincorporated Willowbrook.

At approximately 3:05 a.m a man broke into a home in the area of Hampshire Lane West and 91st Street in unincorporated Willowbrook.

The suspect entered the home, subdued the homeowner, stole valuables and then fled. The only description of the suspect is that it was a male, and he was wearing a mask.

This morning's home invasion took place about seven miles from where a 14-year-old Lyons Township in her home on the 6300 Block of Keokuk Road in Indian Head Park.

Indian Head Park police said yesterday at a press conference that the burglar in the Kelli O'Laughlin murder case also had into the home.

The Sheriff's office could not be reached for comment at the time of this publication about whether this incident was related to the Indian Head Park murder or to a that took place in nearby Indian Head Park and Burr Ridge over the summer.
