Sidewalk On German Church Road Sought; 2 Schools To Benefit
Burr Ridge is teaming up with Willow Springs to get county money for an engineering study.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge is pushing for a sidewalk on German Church Road to connect to Trinity Lutheran School.
Officials want a sidewalk on the county road from the school to Willow Springs Road. The village is working with Willow Springs.
A sidewalk would benefit both Trinity and Pleasantdale Elementary School, which is part of District 107. Most of German Church Road east of Trinity is without a sidewalk.

"This concept was brought to (Burr Ridge) staff’s attention by several supportive Burr Ridge residents living in the area of Trinity Lutheran School," a village memo said.
The project would also include bridge widening over Flagg Creek, traffic signal improvements at Wolf Road and an enhanced crossing at School Street, the memo said.

On Monday, the Village Board plans to vote on a resolution seeking money from Cook County's Invest in Cook program.
A preliminary engineering study is estimated to cost $100,000. Local officials hope to get half of that from the county, with Burr Ridge and Willow Springs splitting the rest.
