UPDATE: Hearing for 'Person of Interest' in Old Mill Lane Burglary Continued

Samuel Watson, a person of interest in the Old Mill Lane burglary in Burr Ridge last fall, made a brief appearance in court Tuesday.

Samuel Watson, a man police said was in the made a brief appearance in Cook County Court Tuesday. No motion was made during the appearance in which Watson was facing the judge on two cases of residential burglary in Indian Head Park. This is because Watson's co-defendent, Claude L. White, was unable to be present.

White was arrested a few hours after the burglary was reported on Old Mill Lane on Sept. 21 after came to assist on a suspicious vehicle call in Indian Head Park. The driver, later identified by White as Watson, fled the scene. Police arrested White after seeing items, in the SUV White was in when he was stopped, that matched the description of the items stolen from the home on Old Mill Lane in Burr Ridge.

No charges have been filed against Watson in the Old Mill Lane burglary case yet, but he and White have been connected to a string of burglaries in Indian Head Park, and White has been charged with one count of residential burglary in the Old Mill Lane case.

Watson and White are scheduled to appear in court June 20.
