Members of Ford's family said they had gotten a call telling them that Dorian had been kidnapped and that he would be held until they paid $1000 ransom for his safe return.
Through the course of the search, deputies found Dorian, who told them that he had been kidnapped and hit over the head. Further investigation and interviews revealed that Ford had not been kidnapped or harmed and that he allegedly made the phone call, report and ransom demand himself.
