Work On These Burr Ridge Streets Planned In The Summer

The low bidder beat the engineer's estimate by nearly $80,000.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge plans to spend nearly $600,000 on resurfacing several local streets this summer.

The work is set for the Enclave neighborhood, Drew Avenue south of 91st Street, Forest Hill Road south of Burr Oak Lane, Norris Drive and Woodgate Drive.

Seven companies bid on the work, with Huntley's Schroeder Asphalt Services coming in lowest at $496,000. That beat the engineer's estimate, which was $575,000. The high bidder was Hillside's Builders Paving, at $750,000.

Schroeder's unit prices were 3.4 percent lower than the 2024 low bidder's.

With the extra money, Burr Ridge plans to do patching where it is strategically needed, according to a village memo.

On Monday, the Village Board is set to vote on the contract with Schroeder.
