1 Dead After Pickup Truck Pinned Under Semi In Minooka: Grundy Sheriff
Grundy County Coroner John Callahan was summoned Wednesday night to a fatal wreck.
MINOOKA, IL — The Grundy County Coroner's Office responded to a crash on Wednesday night at North Grove Road and East Sherill Road after a vehicle was pinned underneath a semi, leaving one person dead.
Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley confirmed the fatal crash to Patch on Wednesday night.
At the scene, Grundy County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Paul Clampitt told Joliet Patch's editor that a pickup truck was going east on Sherrill Road when the semi, which was headed south on Grove Road, appeared to run a stop sign and the vehicles collided in a T-bone crash.

The Minooka Fire Department responded to the wreck and people were asked to avoid the area. The crash happened around 6:50 p.m.
The semi driver, of Dolton, was unhurt in the crash. Police said he was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
