Threat To Kill Teen 'If She Ever Talked To Anyone About Them Meeting Up': Braidwood PD
Brennen Gordon, 21, of Braidwood was arrested following a police investigation involving teenage victims at Reed-Custer High School.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A 21-year-old Braidwood man, Brennen Gordon, is being kept in the Will County Jail following last week's arrest by Braidwood's Police Department in connection with allegations of using an 11-inch-long Bowie knife to cut a girl, who is underage.
The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged Gordon with intimidation, three counts of aggravated batteries and one aggravated assault. The complaint indicates the Braidwood 21-year-old threatened to stab a minor with a pocketknife on June 8. Back when the same victim was under the age of 13, Gordon cut her with another knife some time in 2023, the complaint noted.
Will County Judge John Pavich has ordered Gordon to remain in the Will County Jail until the defendant's detention hearing under the SAFE-T-Act can take place on Monday, according to his lawyer, Cosmo Tedone of Joliet.

According to Will County's prosecutors, on June 10, the victim's mother notified Braidwood police of an incident involving Gordon. The documents note that officers met with the 13-year-old girl and learned she met with Gordon in 2023 at Old Smokey Skate Park on West First Street in Braidwood and "the defendant would provide underage kids drugs and alcohol. On the first day that defendant met with the victim, he pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the victim if she ever told anyone about them speaking."
Gordon put the knife on the victim's hand and cut her, court records show. The victim also told Braidwood police that she was not in contact with Gordon since the end of February or early March of this year. Then, on June 9, the girl visited her aunt and saw Gordon.

"The victim indicated the defendant again threatened to kill her if she ever talked to anyone about them meeting up. Victim then indicated a fight broke out at the party when other attendees found out that the defendant was on GPS monitoring for a pending felony," court files reflect.
The victim was taken to the Riverside Healthcare facility in Kankakee for observation, court documents pointed out.
On June 12, Braidwood police interviewed Gordon and he "admitted that he spoke to the minor ... but that he did not threaten her. The defendant provided his phone to officers, who were able to observe the defendant's fully accessible Facebook account."
According to prosecutors, the police allowed Gordon to go outside for a cigarette break and when he returned, "the defendant stated that he arrived at the pool party and observed the minor there. While there, the defendant stated he observed her 'acting stupid' by jumping over benches, so he told her again that he was going to stab the victim. Defendant (threatened her) while armed with a pocketknife. A fight broke out shortly thereafter and the victim's stepdad slapped defendant."
Gordon comes from the 100 block of West Bodine Drive in Braidwood.
