Braidwood Woman, 54, Died In Fiery Wreck In Rural Grundy County: Coroner

It is unclear when the crash occurred, Coroner John Callahan announced.

BRACEVILLE — The Grundy County Coroner John Callahan’s Office issued a press release on Friday revealing the identity of the woman killed on East Huston Road in rural Braceville. A positive identification has been made, and the woman who died was Tracy A. Kuhn, 54 of Braidwood.

"This remains an ongoing investigation by Callahan’s Office and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office," the press release noted.

On Wednesday morning, the fatal traffic crash was discovered shortly before 6 a.m. on East Houston Road in rural Braceville. A vehicle traveling westbound on Houston Road left the roadway and stuck a tree. After striking the tree, the car burst into flames.

The driver remained in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. It was unclear when the crash occurred, Callahan announced.
