Channahon Lanes are open seven days a week, and the brother-sister owners said they have about a dozen different bowling leagues "for all different ages and skills."

Channahon Lanes has a pro shop inside the bowling center as well as a full bar, plus snack food and pizza. There's also an 18-hole outdoor mini-golf on the property that is open April through October.

The brother-sister owners say they are grateful for the community's support, especially during the challenges posed during COVID.

"It's a nice community that supports us as well," Patti Paul said. "They were phenomenal during and after COVID."

Patch asked the owners of Channahon Lanes what's been the key to their success in terms of their longevity.

"I think we try to keep it family focused," Patti Paul said. "We try to instill that with our staff. We do try to give back to the community. We host fund-raisers, the school has the career fair, we do things with the Girl Scouts, National Night Out."
