Man Scuffled With Braidwood Police, Then Landed In Jail: Prosecutors

BRAIDWOOD —After spending three days in the Will County Jail, 50-year-old Braidwood resident George Sabin has been released from detention in connection with his criminal charges from the Will County State's Attorney's Office.

According to his criminal complaint, Sabin is accused of aggravated battery and domestic battery. The first charge alleges that on Oct. 6, Sabin pushed Braidwood Police Officer Jeff Peterson about the body, knowing Peterson was a police officer performing his official duties.

Sabin's second charge, domestic battery, accuses the Braidwood man of kicking a woman about the body, also on Oct. 6. The Braidwood Police Department filed the complaint against Sabin, who comes from the 100 block of North Lincoln Street.
