Joliet Cops Save 2 Men From OD Deaths in 2 Days
In both cases, an officer saved the man with a dose of Narcan.

Joliet police officers saved two men from heroin deaths in just two days.
First, on Monday evening, a police sergeant was called to Pilcher Park for a report of an unresponsive man. The 35-year-old was in a drug-induced stupor and the sergeant provided the him with a dose of Narcan, a drug that reverses opioid overdose, with a nasal optimizer.
The man was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and recovered from his overdose, police said.

The next night, officers were called to a Jasper Street residence for a report of another unresponsive man.
The homeowner reportedly told officers that the man arrived at her residence about 7 p.m. and, about three and a half hours later, she was unable to wake him up.

The officers again used Narcan to bring the man out of his overdose.
Police reportedly found evidence of heroin use in the house.
The second man was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.
