Joliet Schools Hosting Autism Awareness Run/Walk

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Public Schools District 86 will host its second annual Autism Awareness 5K Run/Walk and Community Family Fair on Saturday, April 22. The Run/Walk will start at 9 a.m. at Joliet Memorial Stadium, 3000 W. Jefferson St. Registration is $15 per person; children ages 3 and under are free. Registration forms are available at www.joliet86.org. Checks, made payable to Joliet Public Schools, and completed registration forms may be dropped off or mailed to Joliet Public Schools District 86, Attn: Cori Ulloa, 420 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet, IL 60435. Registrations received by April 1 will be guaranteed a T-shirt and gift bag. All proceeds will benefit the autism programs at Marycrest Early Childhood Center, Taft Elementary, and Gompers Junior High School.

The Community Family Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the Joliet Park District Multi-Purpose Center. Activities will include entertainment, community displays, and information on summer programs for children. Admission is free and open to the public.
