Long-Time Minooka Bar And Restaurant Closing This Week

MINOOKA, IL —Minooka business owners Scott and Dianne Breslar announced they are closing their Twin Rail Pub at 502 Twin Rail Drive in the middle of this week. The couple announced on Facebook they are retiring.

During an interview last year with Patch, Scott Breslar said the Twin Rail Pub was considered a "Cheers" type pub that features comfortable casual dining and a full bar. The Twin Rail Pub and Chapin's East are both at 502 Twin Rail Drive, right at the corner of Ridge Road.

"This Wednesday, June 30th, will be the Twin Rail Pub's last day open and, our farewell to our sweet-sweet staff, customers, friends and family that have allowed us to serve and be a part of your lives for all these years," the owners posted on social media.

The Breslars said they opened the Chapin's East Banquets and Twin Rail Pub in Minooka in 2010. The Breslars are having a complimentary event starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday along with a DJ and karaoke music starting at 6:30 p.m.

Lastly, the Minooka restaurant owners said that "until such time that someone finds our lovely building to be irresistible and wants to purchase it for the next excellent adventure, we've decided to keep Chapin's East Banquets open as a banquet space; available for rent with a select group of preferred caterers chosen to handle all aspects of food, beverage, staffing and more."
