MORRIS, IL — Governor J.B. Pritzker on Thursday ordered all flags to fly at half staff in honor of Morris native, Drew Faught, a 27-year-old Illinois Department of Corrections sergeant who died this week in a crash about 220 miles south of Joliet.

The governor's office indicated Faught died on Monday while serving as a member of the Tactical Response Team. Faught had worked at the Pontiac Correctional Center.

According to Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes, "Drew loved sports, especially his time playing football with the Morris Chiefs, and the Morris Redskins football and wrestling teams. He also enjoyed weightlifting. But the most important thing to Drew was family. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle."
