Grundy Co. Killer Has His Mugshot Released: Sheriff
The 7-year-old daughter of the man charged in the killing was released to family members and DCFS was notified.
GARDNER — Authorities in Grundy County announced that a 55-year-old woman in the town of Gardner was the victim of an overnight slaying. As a result of the crime, Grundy County State's Attorney Russ Baker has charged 52-year-old Jeffrey Conley with first-degree murder. On Monday, authorities released the new mugshot for Conley, who is now in the Grundy County Jail, over in Morris.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of East Parker Street in Gardner regarding what was initially reported as an overdose.
At the scene in Gardner, deputies located a woman who had apparent stab wounds. Deputies reported the victim was lying on the floor, unresponsive. EMS reported no indication of life.

The Grundy Coroner’s Office of John Callahan pronounced the 55-year-old Gardner woman dead and later issued a press release identifying the homicide victim as Aleshea M. Raszkowski.
In Gardner, sheriff’s detectives learned that Jeffrey Conley, 52, shared the house with the victim and his 7-year-old daughter was also present at the house at the time of the crime.

Through an interview with Conley, detectives say they learned he stabbed the victim several times. Conley was taken to the Grundy County Jail, and he is now being held on the charge of first-degree murder.

"This incident was an isolated incident that was a result of a domestic violence," Grundy County Sheriff's officials noted in Sunday's press release.
