CHANNAHON, IL — Now that the Tru Country Bar and Grill has opened in Channahon and the new Roosty's Chicken & Shakes has opened in Minooka, what will be the next big grand opening for the area? It will likely be the new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill that's being built along Route 6 in the village of Channahon.

The new Dairy Queen for Channahon will feature a drive-thru window and is expected to open by the end of April.

In October, Patch reported that the site would be accessed to Route 6 and a cross-access to Reed Road through the adjacent commercial property to the west, the Oak Leaf Plaza. In addition to frozen treats, the restaurant will offer hot food including burgers, fries, onion rings, cheese curds, chicken strips baskets with different sauces, pretzels, baked wraps and salads.
