New Restaurant For Downtown Minooka Opens This Week
Downtown Minooka is becoming a great destination for sit-down dining. The newest restaurant destination is at 125 West Mondamin Street.

MINOOKA, IL — As 2023 draws to a close, downtown Minooka will now be the home for three high-quality restaurant and bar destinations. At the end of this week, Rooted opens at 125 West Mondamin. It's at the opposite end of the block from Cookie's Restaurant, 103 W. Mondamin.
In July, Patch did a big write-up on another new restaurant and bar that just opened on Mondamin, a place that has been getting terrific reviews from its customers, the Minooka Basement Bar & Grill, 109 W. Mondamin.

The sign in the window says it all: "Farm To Table Food. Wine. Bourbon."
In recent days, the owners of Rooted took to Facebook and announced, "We are thrilled to announce that our grand opening will be Friday, December 29. Reservations are encouraged."

Snacks
- Chicken Liver Mousse: Plum jam, focaccia
- Cheese Plate: 3 selections, plum jam, focaccia
- Marinated Whitefish: crostini, pickled scallion
- Pimento Cheese: crostini
- Beef Fat Home Fries: roasted garlic aioli

Shares:
- Roasted Beets: sweet and sour radicchio, bourbon candied pecans, buttermilk dressing, herbs
- Bitter Lettuces: home fries, bacon vinaigrette, fried egg
- Clams: n'duja, tomato braised fennel, calabrian chili and pickled fennel relish, foccacia
- Spicy Lamb Sausage: curried yogurt, cilantro, pickled vegetables
- Roasted Pork Belly: cheesy grits, burnt honey
Large
- Agnolotti: squash and ricotta filling, parsnip, parmesan, sage brown butter
- Cassoulet: braised lamb, pork sausage, white beans, winter greens
- Grilled Trout: red and black-eyed peas, winter greens, cornbread vinaigrette
- Roasted Chicken Breast: fried cabbage, dirty rice, chicken leg gravy
- NY Strip Steak: romesco, oyster mushrooms, crispy scalloped potato, charred scallion salsa verde
- Burger: blue-veined cheddar, caramelized onions, beef fat fries, pickles

Hours, Days Of Operation
Rooted will be closed Sunday and Monday and its hours are to 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The kitchen will be open at 4 p.m. on all days that they're open. The phone number for Rooted is 815-255-2639
