Old Main Post Office For Sale. . . Again

Chicago's iconic building has been vacant for 18 years.

In a relationship that lasted slightly longer than Kim Kardashian’s marriage, the developer of the Old Main Post Office wants a divorce.

Owner Bill Davies will put the colossal 2.7 million sq. ft. West Loop building up for sale, according to Crain’s report.

The Liverpool native now living in Monaco turned down a $150 million offer earlier this year. The building has been vacant for 18 years.

“Chicago developer Sterling Bay stepped away from a joint venture that planned to spend $500 million transforming the existing building,” according to Crains.

The building, located along the Chicago River, is one of the city’s most visible sites. It sits on 12.6 acres.
