CHANNAHON, IL — By this time next year, the village of Channahon should have its first Dairy Queen restaurant open for business. Construction is underway along Route 6 at the site of the old Lone Star Restaurant that was destroyed during a 2015 fire.

According to the village of Channahon:

The site would be accessed to Route 6 and a cross-access to Reed Road through the adjacent commercial property to the west, the Oak Leaf Plaza.
