Popular Restaurant Franchise Building In Channahon On Route 6
The Dairy Queen project would open with new jobs for 40 employees, 10 full-time and about 30 part-time.

CHANNAHON, IL — By this time next year, the village of Channahon should have its first Dairy Queen restaurant open for business. Construction is underway along Route 6 at the site of the old Lone Star Restaurant that was destroyed during a 2015 fire.
According to the village of Channahon:
The site would be accessed to Route 6 and a cross-access to Reed Road through the adjacent commercial property to the west, the Oak Leaf Plaza.

The new Channahon Dairy Queen would be the new building prototype DQ 3.0 for a restaurant, and it will include a drive-thru window.
In addition to frozen treats, the restaurant would offer hot food including burgers, fries, onion rings, cheese curds, chicken strips baskets with different sauces, pretzels, baked wraps, and salads.

The Dairy Queen would open with 40 employees, 10 full-time and about 30 part-time.

Other components of the Dairy Queen construction project include:
2,208 square foot, 1-story restaurant.
Drive-thru lane with 10 stacking spaces.
Vehicle-scaled drive-thru directional signs.
18 parking spaces, including 1 accessible stall.
Outdoor seating patio with decorative fence.
Masonry dumpster enclosure, accommodates 2 refuse containers.
Bicycle rack adjacent to the patio.
