Railroad Crossing Repairs to Shut Parts of Ridge Road

Residents in Minooka were alerted to construction planned at the CSX rail road crossing that will shut down both directions of Ridge Road for three to five days.

"North and South Bound Ridge Road at the CSX rail road crossing intersection (south of the Mondamin intersection) anticipates to be closed beginning Friday, Nov. 16th, 2012 for approximately three to five days while the railroad crossing improvements are made," said a written release from the Minooka Police Department.

The alert went on to offer alternative routes to residents:

• North and South bound Wabena Ave to West and East bound Mondamin Street
• North and South bound McClindon Rd. to West and East bound Minooka Road
• West and East bound Route 6 to I-55 or Route 47
• Truck Traffic should use Twin Rail Drive
