Ranch Pharmacy and Linda's Hallmark to Close Doors; Retirement Celebration Going on Now

You may have seen the signs going past the store along Route 6. Ranch Pharmacy and Linda's Hallmark will be closing in mid-August. In the meantime, the store is running Retirement specials.
This week, from July 10 to July 13, you can get a special on collectables. If you buy two, you get 25 percent off. If you buy three, the third one is free. You can mix and match collectables. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Watch for a story in the coming week about the 40 year history of the store.

  • Join us for a free Patch 101 class taught by Business Engagement Editor Dawn Aulet from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 11 at Joliet Junior College. The class will take place on main campus in room T-1008. You must register for the class. To do so, call 815-280-1555.

  • The Joliet Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its Community Leadership School, 2013. The annual CLS program begins on Thursday, September 5 and runs each Thursday for eleven weeks, concluding on Wednesday, November 13 with project presentations in the morning and the graduation banquet that evening on the stage of the Rialto Square Theatre.
