River Hawk Brewery In Channahon Closing Forever
Located along Route 6, River Hawk Brewing was in Channahon the past five years, but Labor Day weekend marks its end.

CHANNAHON, IL —Thursday evening marked sad news for Joliet area lovers of craft beer. That's because the River Hawk Brewery in Channahon on Route 6 announced it is permanently closing.
Sunday will be the last day of business, as its tap room will be open from noon to 9 p.m. River Hawk is nestled along U.S. Route 6 in the Mallory Plaza. If you're traveling from Joliet or getting off at the Channahon exit for Interstate 55, it's right past the Dollar General store.
"After 5 years we are Tapping Out! We will be shutting down RHB on Sunday, September 4, 2022." the craft brewery posted on Facebook. "Come out for a pint or two while we express our gratitude to our community of supporters."

According to River Hawk Brewery, "it is a difficult decision but financially we see it’s our only option. We want to thank all those who have supported us over the last 5 years. Our team of dedicated servers have been amazing!"
River Hawk thanked Zach Sutton, its brewer for the past two-plus years.

"Zach produced some stellar beer and kept the brew house in order. He mainly stayed behind the scenes but definitely was noticed by all who enjoyed a pint in the tap room," River Hawk announced on Facebook.
