Roosty's Chicken & Shakes Opening Soon In Minooka: They're Hiring

MINOOKA, IL — The village of Minooka continues to be a magnet for new restaurant attractions, and one of the newest restaurants will be Roosty's Chicken & Shakes. It will open in the busy shopping center along Ridge Road at 454 Mondamin Street. On Sunday, Patch learned that Roosty's is expected to open its doors for hungry customers come February.

Roosty's will be owned and operated by the brother of Emre Kok, who runs the highly successfully Tasty Bite restaurant in the same shopping plaza. Roosty's, however, will be a completely separate and independent venture for the Kok family.

Last week, Roosty's announced on Facebook that it is ready to start hiring employees. It needs to hire fry cooks and prep staff, and Roosty's will be pay at least $15 per hour, possibly more, depending on prior experience.

When Roosty's opens in February, it will stay open seven days a week and its hours will be: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

According to its website, "Roosty's Chicken & Shakes is the newest fast-casual chicken restaurant in Illinois. 'From hand-breaded chicken sandwiches and tenders to chicken wings marinated in our signature seasonings, we strive to serve you quality, cluckin’ good chicken and shakes.'"
