The Shrimp Barn Announces It's Closing
The sit-down restaurant in Minooka's downtown was open for the past 11 years.

MINOOKA, IL — One of Minooka's best known restaurants, The Shrimp Barn, announced on Facebook Thursday evening that it is closing for good after 11 years of business. The Shrimp Barn is at 125 West Mondamin St.
A total of 3,884 Facebook users have checked into the restaurant over the years, which had a solid 4.5 rating out of 5 stars on Facebook.
"All great things must come to an end," The Shrimp Barn proclaimed on Facebook. "We have enjoyed being in Minooka. You will be missed."

The soon-to-be closing restaurant will be open on Friday and Saturday with a $14.95 fish special.
"Relaxed, lofty eatery offering beer, wine & a variety of fish & seafood, from scallops to alligator," The Shrimp Barn's business profile on Google stated.

The Shrimp Barn closes its doors forever at 9 p.m. Saturday.
