Child Drowns In Swimming Pool: Wilmington Police
Police told Patch the boy did not live at the home where he was found unresponsive.

WILMINGTON, IL — A 3-year-old boy found unresponsive in a swimming pool in the Wilmington/Braidwood area died Thursday afternoon after being rushed to St. Joe's hospital. Wilmington police issued a Facebook bulletin, saying that at 11:36 a.m., officers were sent to the Deer Ridge subdivision for a child who fell into the pool.
Someone at the property was already performing CPR when the police arrived. Officers from both Braidwood and Wilmington responded to the crisis, and the Braidwood Fire Department sent an ambulance. The child was rushed to St. Joe's in Joliet, where he died, Wilmington police said.
A Wilmington police official told Patch that the boy did not live at the home. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers' office said the child was a resident of Custer Park.
