The 7th- and 8th-grade Troy Middle School Cheer Teams took honors in the recent Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Competition. They received 7th place in the Small Team Cheer category and 8th place in the Medium Routine category. Coaches of the teams are Ashley Nickels and Kristin Dahl.
Members of the 7th-grade team are Leah Borges, Norah Buchanan, Emma Hoffman, Sophie Koerner, Gianna Pavlis, Madison Pork, Ella Price, Apollonia Thompson, Ainsley Wellman and Kennedy Wong.
Members of the 8th-grade team are Mia Barborek, Hunter Biederman, Natalie Burkett, Tiana Chandler, Mia Eggman, Paige Fier, Megan Gleeson, Amavi Johnson, Emma Marchiniak, Heidi Offermann, Payton Sing, Paige Struck and Re'Ahna Ward.
