Victim in Car Versus Bicycle Accident Identified

Minooka Police have identified the man struck and killed Monday night as Stephen Laszkiewicz, 43, of Minooka. Laszkiewicz was struck by a single passenger vehicle Monday night on Ridge Road between McEvilly Road and Twin Rails Drive.

The man was taken to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:16 p.m., Meyer said.

Ridge Road was shut down between McEvilly Road and Twin Rails Drive while police investigated the accident.

Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said no charges have been filed in the crash and the incident is under investigation.
