What's Closed for Veterans Day?
Here's what we found that won't be open in Channahon and Minooka for the federal holiday honoring veterans of the U.S. armed services.
The law establishing Veterans Day was signed by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1954. An official U.S. holiday, Veterans Day honors the men and women who have served in the nation’s armed services. It’s observed every year on Nov. 11 in U.S.
Many governmental offices are closed for Veterans Day, as part of the observance. Here’s what we found that’s open and closed in the Channahon-Minooka area. (Sorry, kids! School is still in session.)
