1-Month-Old Girl Dies, Found Unresponsive In Bed With Mom: Cops

Police are investigating the death of the infant who was found unresponsive Friday morning in Forest Glen.

CHICAGO — Police are investigating the death of a 1-month-old girl who officials said was found unresponsive in a Forest Glen home Friday morning.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, the child was found unresponsive in bed with her mother at around 6 a.m. Friday in the 5000 block of West Catalpa Avenue.

The infant was identified as Viviana Hernandez. She was taken to Swedish Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Officials have not released a cause of death, but did list the child's home address as Merrillville, Indiana.
