2 Kids Seriously Hurt In Lake Shore Drive Crash
Four people were injured Sunday afternoon in the Near North Side accident.
CHICAGO, IL — Two children were among those seriously hurt in a car accident Sunday afternoon on Lake Shore Drive, according to the Chicago Fire Department. The Near North Side crash also sent two adults to the hospital, the department said in an online update.
The accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the northbound lanes of the 600 block of North Lake Shore Drive, the fire department said. The injured kids were taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, and the two adults who were hurt were transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The fire department reported that a fifth person also was hurt in the crash, but that individual refused to be taken to the hospital.
