2 Women Killed In Car Crash Near Rate Field: Report
Police said one of the victims lost control of her car Sunday night and drove into oncoming traffic, where the car was struck by an SUV.
CHICAGO — Two women were killed following a car crash Sunday night near Rate Field. Police said a 24-year-old driver lost control of her sedan in the 300 block of W. 35th Street near the Dan Ryan Expressway, crossed the median into oncoming traffic, and was struck by an SUV.
CBS News Chicago is reporting the driver and a 21-year-old passenger were taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County with traumatic injuries following the 9:13 p.m. crash, where they were later pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the SUV were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
