Slain Family Found in South Side Home

  • Six people were found stabbed to death with their hands bound behind their backs inside a home on Chicago’s South Side Thursday afternoon. The victims - four men, one woman and a child - apparently belonged to the same family and were found in the Gage Park neighborhood shortly after 1 p.m. when police were called to the home to perform a well being check prompted by a 911 call. The call was placed by co-workers of a resident in the home who failed to show up to work for two days, said Interim Police Supt. John Escalante. This story is developing Thursday afternoon.
