8 Cook Co. Jail Inmates Charged In Maximum Security Fight (VIDEO)

The scuffle happened in early April, and the inmates hurt in the incident didn't suffer life-threatening injuries.

CHICAGO, IL — Eight Cook County Jail maximum security inmates were indicted on mob action counts following a fight earlier this month, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office. The law enforcement agency released video of the incident Thursday.

The fight happened at around 4:35 p.m. April 3 in the facility's Division 10 area, which houses maximum security prisoners, the sheriff's office said. Inmates were hurt in the incident, but none of them suffered lifte-threatening injuries.

In the 21-second footage, a group of inmates are seen watching a scuffle between other prisoners. Early on, one of the men is seen with his shirt off, fending off multiple inmates.

The following inmates were indicted by a grand jury in connection with the fight:

  • Maxamilian Aldridge, 19
  • Jermaine Douglas, 25
  • Brian Franklin, 19
  • Diamond Little, 23
  • Jonathan Rodriguez, 30
  • Travond Stewart, 22
  • Rynalder Williams, 23
  • Rashawn Young, 21
