91-Year-Old Man First Reported To Have Been Shot Was Actually Suffering Bleeding From Medical Incident

Officers responded to a reported shooting Tuesday in the 9600 block of South Yale Avenue.

CHICAGO (CBS) — A 91-year-old man who police originally believed had been shot in Longwood Manor was suffering a medical incident that caused him to bleed.

Police said, around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting in the 9600 block of South Yale Avenue, and found a 91-year-old man who had been shot in the groin. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
