Arson Unit Investigates U.S. Cellular Field Fire
One firefighter injured. Opening Day will go on as scheduled.

An early Friday fire on Opening Day at U.S. Cellular Field is under investigation by the Police Bomb and Arson Unit. One firefighter was hurt in a first-floor storage room fire near Gate 2, according to the Chicago Fire Department. The fire was reported at 2:25 a.m. and put out around 3 a.m.
The injured firefighter was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.
The Chicago White Sox said the opener will go on as scheduled. The fire did not take place in a public area. The fire came just 12 hours before the White Sox were set to take on the Cleveland Indians in their home opener. A spokeswoman for the White Sox said any team possessions lost in the fire are easily replaceable.
