'Baby Trump' Balloon To Help March To The Polls Get Out The Float
The 20-foot inflatable resembling a diapered president will be a part of the Grant Park rally Saturday.

CHICAGO — Women's March Chicago will have an unlikely mascot for participants to rally around for its March to the Polls next month. A 2o-feet tall, 13-feet wide "Baby Trump" balloon will be part of the Saturday's event in Grant Park, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The floating spectacle is one of six inflatables resembling a diapered President Donald Trump that is making appearances around the United States, the report stated. New Jersey activist Jim Girvan and his People's Motorcade group used a GoFundMe campaign to raise about $24,000 to buy the balloons after seeing the original floating over London's Parliament Square during Trump's visit to Great Britain, the report added.
While some details still need to be worked out surrounding Baby Trump's Chicago visit — such as its exact location during the Oct. 13 event — organizers hope this inflated "enfant terrible" will help spark not only a strong turnout for the rally but also November's midterm elections.

“It’s a good visual of what we see to be a president who doesn’t have the best interests of the people in mind, and instead focuses on the best interests of himself,” Emily Kraiem, a Women's March of Chicago board member, told the Tribune.
March to the Polls 2018 is a follow-up event to January's Women's March, with a focus on encouraging voter engagement. The rally and march will include guest speakers and live musical performances, as well as an area where individuals will be able to meet and talk with candidates and event sponsors. Chicago and Cook County voters also will have the opportunity to literally march to the polls that day and cast their early ballots.

“We know that hundreds of thousands of women and their allies are excited and energized to vote this fall, and the October march will enable us to come together and harness this energy and excitement and turn it into action,” organizer Jaquie Algee said in statement on the march's website.
