Celebrated Chicago Ballet Company Seeks Dancers Ages 6-24 for 10th Anniversary Production

A&A BALLET announces open auditions in January 2026 for its performance of Swan Lake inspired one-act ballet, a stunning production created by internationally acclaimed choreographers Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. In celebration of A&A BALLET's 10th anniversary, this tribute to classical romantic ballet promises to be fast-paced, full of dramatic effects and true passion that will captivate audiences.

This isn't just any Swan Lake – it's a reimagining by two of ballet's most innovative artistic minds, where Tchaikovsky's timeless score meets the pure artistry of classical romantic tradition, emotional depth and technical brilliance. A&A’s unique take on the masterpiece is a one-act focusing on Prince Siegfried, Odette, Rothbart and the Swans.

For young performers, it represents more than just a role – it's a chance to be part of a milestone production by a company recognized for launching dancers into prestigious careers worldwide.

Dancers aged 6-24 from across Chicagoland are invited to audition for this unique opportunity. A&A BALLET welcomes all dance styles and skill levels to bring this extraordinary vision to life.

"Our Swan Lake marks an extraordinary milestone for A&A BALLET," says Co-Founder & Artistic Director Alexei Kremnev who first debuted the ballet for the company’s 5th Anniversary. "This production honors the classical romantic tradition while bringing fresh dramatic intensity and passion to one of ballet's greatest works. We're inviting the next generation to become part of something truly extraordinary – a production that celebrates both our company's journey and the timeless beauty of this masterpiece."

The production will feature original choreography by Kremnev and Reznik and a visually stunning experience that brings the story's magic and drama to vivid life.

Auditions are open to dancers ages 6-24 of all levels. Registration required.

Audition Attire: Girls – black camisole leotard, pink footed tights, pink canvas ballet and pointe shoes (age/level appropriate). Boys – black footed tights or black dance shorts, white tight fitted t-shirt, black or skin-colored ballet shoes. The audition will include basic dance movements and a combination to be performed in character. No preparation of audition material is necessary. Dancers will be notified via email within the week after the audition if cast in the production. Rehearsals begin March 28, 2026, and will take place primarily on Saturdays.
