  • The Blackhawks and the attorney for Kyle Beach have agreed to negotiate a settlement of the former prospect's lawsuit alleging a former video coach sexually assaulted him in 2010, Jeff Arnold reports. (Patch)
  • A 2020 Chicago Police Department audit obtained through a court order by South Side Weekly shows that 6,153 sworn police officers, or about 47 percent of the department, had been the subject of one or more complaint investigations over five years. Twelve percent had been investigated twice in the five-year period, 6 percent were investigated three times, and about 6 percent were investigated more than three times. (South Side Weekly)
  • A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in Roseland, and his mother was murdered in the same location two days later while visiting the spot her son died. (CBS2)
