Here's The Best Cheeseburger Joint In IL, Reviews Say
An Illinois eatery was named in the top 20 cheeseburger restaurants in the U.S. by a panel of Yelp reviewers.
CHICAGO, IL — If you are looking to satisfy your appetite with a mouth-watering cheeseburger, Yelp says an Illinois eatery may please your palate.
The number of reviews and the ratings of restaurants were used by Yelp as metrics to determine the 20 best cheeseburger spots in the U.S.
The Windy City's Au Cheval is the best cheeseburger establishment in Illinois, according to the ranking. Nationally, the West Randolph Street restaurant landed in the second slot on the list, making only one establishment better than the Chicago diner.

Au Cheval boasts a bar with a varied beer list, according to the company website. Menu items included roasted marrow bones, foie gras, crispy potato hash, cheeseburgers, fried bologna sandwich and General Jane's honey-fried chicken.
The diner does not accept reservations, and its website noted guests are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis.
