Black-Owned Chicago Restaurants Offering $6.19 Juneteenth Deals

The Black People Eats Team brought together over 70 black-owned restaurants to offer $6.19 specials for Juneteenth weekend​.

CHICAGO, IL — On Friday, the United States will celebrate Juneteenth, a 155-year-old holiday that celebrates the emancipation of African Americans from slavery in the United States, and more than 70 black-owned restaurants across the Chicago area encourage everyone to take part in the celebration. The Black People Eats Team has brought together over 70 black-owned restaurants to offer $6.19 specials for this Juneteenth weekend, according to the Black People Eats website.

"We hope that this weekend you will spend your dollars in the Black Community to show your support," the Black People Eats Team said, on their website.

The list of restaurants includes a variety of spots that will be serving vegan/non-vegan items.
