ANDERSONVILLE— The water boil advisory has been rescinded for residents in buildings on West Berwyn Avenue spanning from North Clark Street to North Glenwood Avenue as of Wednesday, according to a representative from the Department of Water Management.

A water boil advisory was posted on Tuesday, March 30 after a water main broke in Andersonville, but microbial tests concluded the water is safe for consumption.

According to spokeswoman Megan Vidis from the Department of Water Management, the agency anticipated the boil advisory would be cleared by Wednesday morning and said the notice was just a precaution.
