Update: Bomb and Arson Squad Investigation at O'Hare Reveals 'Nothing Significant'

The suspicious package was in an O'Hare cargo building.

CHICAGO — An investigation of a suspicious package at O'Hare International Airport Tuesday afternoon revealed "nothing significant," said a Chicago Department of Aviation official.

"The Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Police Department's Bomb and Arson Squad investigated," said Karen Pride, the Department of Aviation's director of media relations.

"It apparently turned out to be nothing significant," Pride said. "The Bomb and Arson Squad cleared the scene" shortly after 5 p.m.
