CHICAGO — The Boss is coming back to Chicago.
Bruce Springsteen, who recently started his first tour with The E Street Band, announced on Tuesday that the band is adding 22 dates to its international tour, which kicked off in Tampa recently. The added shows include an Aug. 9 show at Wrigley Field, where Springsteen last appeared in 2012 as part of the Wrecking Ball Tour.
Springsteen, 73, started his new tour with a 28-song set in Tampa with plenty of old favorites as well as selections from his 2020 album “Letter To You” and his recently released album of soulful covers “Only The Strong Survive.”

Unlike previous tours where the setlist varied from show to show, the pattern of Springsteen’s current tour has remained mainly the same with between 25-28 songs per show.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday for the Wrigley show, which is the first North American show after the band returns from the European swing of the tour.

Obtaining tickets for the initial North American tour dates for the tour angered many fans who signed up for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, which offers some fans early access to tickets at a dynamic ticket pricing system for a portion of seats.
Springsteen has not yet announced whether the shows released on Tuesday will fall into that program or if all of the tickets will go on sale at the same time.
