Bullet Holes Found In Northwestern Memorial Hospital Window

The incident happened Friday after Chicago police responded to a call of shots fire near the hospital.

CHICAGO, IL — Bullets riddled a window at Northwest Memorial Hospital on Friday following the report of a shooting outside the facility, according to the Chicago Tribune. The incident didn't have anything to do with the hospital, and no shots were fired inside the building, the report added.

Chicago police responded to a call of gunfire around 4:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the 200 block of East Erie Street in the Gold Coast neighborhood, the report stated. Shell casings were discovered by police, and a window at the Northwestern Medicine Digestive Health Center Lavin Family Pavilion, 259 E. Eries St., had two bullets in them, the report added.

Police are investigating the incident.
