Chicago Bears 2019 Schedule: 100th Season

CHICAGO, IL — The Bears are kicking off the NFL's 100th season Thursday evening in a match against the Green Bay Packers. It's the first of eight games they'll play home at Soldier Field this season. See the schedule below.

They haven't always been the Bears. The crew began as the Decatur Staleys in 1919 and 1920, then the Chicago Staleys in 1921, and started going by the Bears in 1922.

The Bears went one for four in the 2019 preseason, beating out the Indianapolis Colts but losing to the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.

Head Coach Matt Nagy told reporters his goal was to prepare, but not overdo it. "You look ahead too far too soon, it becomes quote-un-quote one of those Super Bowl weeks that you hear about, where you’re prepping so much or you’re putting so much stuff in that it ends up getting the best of you," he said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
