State Rep. Kam Buckner did not take my advice.
On Thursday, he announced plans to run for Chicago mayor in the February election, which is about a month before the end of his conditionally discharged sentence for driving under the influence — his second drunken driving conviction in Illinois.
Buckner said his latest DUI conviction has set him on a "path to be a better person."
