Chuck Goudie Joins NBC 5 Investigates Team

CHICAGO — Emmy-winning journalist Chuck Goudie will join the NBC 5 Investigates team, NBC 5 Chicago announced Monday.

“I'm grateful to become part of an organization with such a powerful pedigree and a legacy of investigative excellence. A place with a motto more relevant today than ever, baked into its call letters: We Must Ask Questions,” Goudie said in the announcement.

Goudie received a national Emmy Award for his work about the vulnerability of government agencies and chemical companies to terrorist attacks, according to the announcement, which noted Goudie is also an Edward R. Murrow Award winner.
“Investigative reporting is more important than ever,” Sally Ramirez, senior vice president of news at NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo Chicago, said in the announcement. “Adding Chuck, one of the best journalists in the nation, to our award-winning ‘NBC 5 Investigates’ team ensures an even greater commitment to our Chicagoland viewing audience.”

Goudie is from the Detroit suburbs and attended Michigan State University, according to the announcement, which said he has five children and was married to the late Teri Goudie, a media consultant and Chicago television news producer.
