Cockpit Smoke Forces Emergency Landing For O'Hare American Flight
No one was hurt when passengers exited the plane on the runway Wednesday afternoon.

CHICAGO, IL — An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon at O'Hare International Airport after smoke was discovered in the cockpit, according to WGN-TV. Passengers exited the plane on the runway, and no one was hurt in the incident.
The incident happened before 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, aboard American flight 3470, the report stated. The plane was being checked out to determine the source and cause of the smoke, the report added.
"[S]hout out to the flight crew of AA #3470 for calmly evacuating the aircraft upon landing when smoke was in the cockpit," wrote one passenger aboard the aircraft.
